All our instruments are sold with a certificate of authenticity (if the value exceeds € 2,000) as well as a certificate of insurance.

Sale of an instrument

Depending on the quality and the condition of your instrument, you have several options.

  • Purchase: The violin maker expert assesses the instrument or the bow and offers immediate purchase. Bank account details and an ID are required for a payment by bank transfer.
  • Consignment: The owner wishes to sell his instrument under a contract of Consignment. Following the valuation of Serge Boyer, he and the owner agree on a sale price from which a commission will be charged at the time of the sale. You will receive a copy of the contract on which photographs of the instrument will be printed in order to avoid disputes in the event of the return of the instrument or bow. Please note: consignment concerns only the instruments ready to play and presentable to buyers. If this is not the case, a restoration estimate will be proposed before placing the instrument on deposit and payable at the time of the sale or return of the instrument to its owner.
  • Auctions or auction house: For various reasons (condition of the instrument , restoration cost or personal choice), we organize several times a year sales at public auctions or at French auctioneers. (See “Auction”).
