SALE of an instrument to a customer by the Boyer Company

We permanently have a stock of instruments of the quartet and bows of different quality and values in order to answer to the requests of beginners as well as professionals.

We also study any request of our customers to try to find on the market the instrument or the bow they wish to acquire. For this purpose, we recommend you to send us an email in the special heading "search of an instrument for a customer" which we will save and which will allow us upon the arrival of an instrument, to send you the photographs and all the details relating to it.

PURCHASE or SALE-DEPOSIT or PUBLIC AUCTIONS of an instrument by a private person to the BOYER company

3 possibilities are offered to our customers to part with an object:

  1. The purchase: the expert violin maker estimates the instrument or the bow, and suggests a price to the customer and an immediate purchase. The payment will require an identity document from the customer and will be made by cheque or by bank transfer.

  2. The sale-depositm: the owner wants to part with his instrument but because of its important value, the violin maker cannot buy it and proposes to the customer the sale-deposit. After expertise from Serge Boyer, a selling price will be agreed between the owner and the expert, and a commission will be retained from this price after the sale. When there is a sale-deposit, a receipt with colour photographs of your instrument will be given to you, in order to avoid any contesting in the event of restitution of the instrument or the bow.

  3. The auction or auction-room: for various reasons (urgent need to sell, share out, succession…), Serge Boyer organizes once or twice a year public auctions with auctioneers all over France. (see heading public auctions). After oral expertise of an instrument or a bow, and when requested by the customers, Serge Boyer proposes to keep your objects waiting to be gathered in a specialized sale of musical instruments, against a receipt with colour photographs. He informs you about an estimated date, about the choice of the auctioneer and will invite you to come and attend the sale of your objects.
    This way of selling is of several interests: knowing immediately the date of the sale and of payment, which takes place at the maximum 6 weeks after.
